One of the most exciting parts of the gorge trail at Watkins Glen State Park is walking under Rainbow Falls. That is if you don’t mind getting a little wet. My camera didn’t mind as I set up this shot. Although waterfall shots are best captured in overcast conditions, I needed the sun to capture the rainbow that gives this falls its name. Capturing multiple exposures, I combined them into a High-Dynamic-Range image that illustrates the scene better than the camera could capture. This impressionistic technique allowed me to capture this scene better than any shot I have seen of it yet.
